Round head bolts that come with a button head are used commonly in wood connections. These bolts are much similar to the carriage bolts except for the lack of the square neck at the base of the head. Since round head bolts are used with wood, they happen to be rarely high strength & are generally supplied in a typical ASTM A307 specification.
Manufacturing
Baseline Bolt manufactures button head bolts of diameter ranging from 1⁄2” through 11⁄4 ” in most of the ASTM, AASHTO & SAE specifications. It is possible to create special tooling in order to produce nonstandard bolt heads, head dimensions, or button head bolts that are larger than 11⁄4” in diameter with the name and/or logo of your company.
Standard Thread Length
Bolt lengths ≤ 6″: Thread length = (2 X diameter) + 1⁄4”
Bolt lengths > 6″: Thread length = (2 X diameter) + 1⁄2”
